Lucila C. Garcia

Lucila C. Garcia, 71, of Alice, TX, entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2016. She was born in El Paso, TX on March 23, 1945 to Edwardo and Maria L. Cadena. She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Feliciano C. Garcia; father, Edwardo Cadena; brother, Carlos Cadena and sister, Eva Bateman. Lucila is survived by her mother, Maria Luisa Cadena; three daughters, Maria Luisa (Augustin)Hernandez, Teresa Alvarez Garcia, Patricia Villarreal; two sons, Miguel (Elizabeth) Garcia, Jaime Garcia; three sisters, Maria Luisa Rubio from California, Espy (Bob) Galarza from California, Martha Dozoretz; brother, Edwardo (Gloria) Cadena of Plano, TX; nine grandchildren, Roxann Villarreal, Michael Leigh Garcia, Jonathan Villarreal, Bianca Bonds, Thomas East, Genevieve Garcia, James Garcia, Carlos Garcia, and Elizabeth Rose; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 4 to 9pm at Treviño Funeral Home Alice, 120 E. Front St.; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 9:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Collins Cemetery. Services under the direction of Bobby Treviño.
