Guadalupe P. Flores, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 81 in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Born on July 12, 1944, he spent over four decades dedicating his life and career to Ed Hicks, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment.
Guadalupe was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—detailing cars with an artist's touch, firing up the grill to share delicious BBQ with friends and family, and losing himself in the rhythm of dance. In quieter moments, he indulged in his treasured collection of Hot Wheels and never missed an episode of Judge Judy, often finding humor and life lessons in each case presented.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Irma Pardo, and her husband Sixto; his sons, Miguel Flores, LeRoy Flores, and Antonio Flores; as well as his cherished sisters, Gloria Rodriguez and Juanita Perez (Edward), and brothers, Nick Flores, Ramiro Flores, and Jimmy Flores (Sylvia). Guadalupe also leaves behind a legacy of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry his memory forward through their laughter and stories.
Guadalupe was predeceased by his son, Manuel Flores, and his son, Guadalupe Flores, Jr., alongside grandson, Fernando Leal. He also mourned the loss of his daughter-in-law, Melissa Flores, and his brother-in-law, Manuel Rodriguez. His heart was heavy with the absence of his brother, Jesus Padilla Flores, his parents, Nicacio and Camila Flores, and his sisters-in-law, Melida Flores and Maria Flores.
As we remember Guadalupe P. Flores, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
