Manuel Hernandez

Manuel Hernandez passed away on December 6, 2017 at the age of 53. In 1986 he won the title of “Texas State Table Soccer” in Dallas, Texas. Manuel was an avid reader and read everything he got his hands on. He made his livelihood by buying and selling antiques. Manuel had a knowledgeable answer for every question he was asked. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Luis and Hortencia Hernandez; his brother, Charles Hernandez. Manuel is survived by his lifetime friend and mother of his children, Rose (Rosie) Mary Alaniz; daughters, Ilene Hernandez and Melanie Hernandez; son, “Kai” Manuel Hernandez; sisters, Veronica Hernandez, Esther Hernandez, and Patsy M. Vazquez-Contes; brother, Richard Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives. The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Treviño Funeral Home 3006 Niagara St. at Port, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.; where a vigil for the deceased and a holy rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
