Manuel Salazar De Leon

After his health declined from a surgical leg amputation, Manuel S. De Leon, of Corpus Christi, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX on June 25, 1945. Manuel was a Vietnam Veteran who fought in the vietnam war. He raised his children along side his good friend and ex-wife, Alicia Alaniz. He was a devoted grandfather and loved his country. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon C. De Leon and Maria S. De Leon; one brother, Rene De Leon; and one sister, Yolanda De Leon Martinez and one great niece, Haily Magana. Manuel is survived by his two daughters, Laura M. De Leon and Michael Mendez, Angelita De Leon and Francisco Garza, and one son, Ramon Manuel De Leon; one step son, Baldemar Cavazos and one step daughter, Bina Cavazos; 14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery 11:00 a.m. with full military honors.
