Manuel Lopez, Jr.

Manuel Lopez, Jr., age 65, passed away on April 11, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Manuel proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a retired AC Technician and loved watching all sports; his favorite was the Cowboys. Manuel also loved fishing, gardening, traveling, making Bar-B-Que's for his family. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Lopez. Manuel leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Olivia Sandoval-Lopez; children, Manuel (Sandra) Lopez, III, Michelle Alee Lopez (Tidwell Staggs), Michael Lee Lopez, Melinda Lynn Lopez; 8 grandchildren: Marcus Andrew, Manuel IV, Megan Ashlee, Gabriella, Ashliee, Mykalah, Braydden, Beighlee; brother and sisters, Janie Gonzalez, Ignacio (Lydia) Lopez, and Felipa (George) Wilmot. Visitation will be held at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port on Thursday, April 14, from 4 pm to 9 pm; with a Prayer Service to be held at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held at Primera Iglesia Bautista on Friday, April 15, at 10:30 am; burial will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 12 pm.
