Manuel Martinez

Manuel Martinez, Sr. passed away on June 13, 2017 at the age of 83, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He proudly served our country in the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Martinez; mother of his children, Santos Maria Hernandez; son, Jose Alfonso Martinez; daughter, Betty Jean Martinez; parents, Alfonso and Dolores Martinez.

Manuel is survived by his children, Sylvia (Joe) Ramos, Manuel (Esmeralda) Martinez, Jr., Ysabel (Edward) Duran, Vanessa Martinez, and Christopher Martinez; brother, Juan Martinez and sister, Enedelia Yeverino. Also surviving him are 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous, nieces and nephews.

T he family will receive condolences on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; with a Chapel Service at 10 a.m. Funeral cortege will depart the chapel at 10:30a.m for Rite of Committal and Interment at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
