Manuel Rodriguez Jr.

Manuel “Gordo/Savage” Rodriguez Jr., 47, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on February 13, 2024, in Corpus Christi. He was born on January 22, 1977, in Corpus Christi.

Manuel is survived by his wife, April Rodriguez; mother, Gloria Rodriguez; sisters, Dolores Perez (Gilbert) and Gloria Nicole Romero (Gilberto); father-in-law, Jose Mendiola Jr; brother-in-law, Jojo Mendiola (Connie); children, Beverly, Blu, and Desirae; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless beloved friends.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Manuel Rodriguez; brother, John Adam Manuel Rodriguez; daughter, Gabriella Rodriguez; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Rafael Rodriguez, and maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Nicacio Flores.

Manuel attended both West Oso High School and Roy Miller High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his friends, cooking, and barbequing.

Manuel’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 1:30 PM. Services will conclude that afternoon.
