Manuel Sedillo Jr., age 75, of Corpus Christi, Texas went home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was born on July 7, 1946, in North Liberty, Indiana to Manuel Sedillo Sr. and Alicia Torres Sedillo.
Manuel enlisted in the United States Army when he was just 18 years old and went on to train in the Infantry. When he came home, he married the love of his life, Graciela Chapa. Manuel later went on to work in the refineries for 20 years.
Manuel was a loving father and husband who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In his spare time, he could be found watching the Houston Astros playing, or more controversially by his family, the Dallas Cowboys. He loved watching sports, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Manuel is preceded in passing by his father, Manuel Sedillo Sr.; his mother, Alicia Torres Sedillo; his siblings, Guadalupe Sedillo, Adan Sedillo, Arturo Sedillo, Juanita Sedillo, and Juan Sedillo; and nephew, Johnny Sedillo, Jr.
Manuel leaves his loving legacy to his beloved wife of 52 years, Graciela Chapa Sedillo; his daughters, Sara Sedillo and Emily (Primo) Garcia; his grandchildren, Isabel Campos, Jose Manuel Garcia, and Marissa Garcia; grand pup Milo; his siblings, Alonzo Sedillo and Joe Sedillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
The family will receive condolences on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 10:30 AM to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:45 AM, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. A funeral cortege will depart the church at 12:00 PM for Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
