Manuel Rene Trejo Jr., a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2023, in his hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas. Manuel lived a life full of laughter, love, and courage. He was known for his friendly demeanor, quick wit, and unwavering bravery in the face of adversity. Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Rene Trejo Sr., and his nephews, Jesus Gonzales Jr. and Sammy Trejo Jr.
He is survived by his loving mother, Margery Trejo, and his devoted siblings, Joe Angel Trejo (Brenda), Theresa Trejo (Anthony), Silvestre Trejo (Tracie), Sammy Trejo, and Veronica Flores (Antonio). Manuel also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory and carry on his legacy. Growing up in Corpus Christi, Manuel developed a passion for cars and engines. He spent countless hours working on restoration projects, transforming old vehicles into beautiful, functional works of art. His talent for bringing new life to cars was admired by many, and his creations were a testament to his dedication and skill. Manuel's love for cars extended beyond the garage, as he enjoyed attending car shows and sharing his knowledge with fellow enthusiasts. In addition to his love for cars and laughter, Manuel enjoyed spending time with his friends, often sharing a drink and reminiscing about the good times they had shared. His warm, welcoming nature made him a cherished companion, and his loyalty and support were unwavering. Manuel's friendships were built on a foundation of trust, respect, and genuine affection, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Manuel's courage was evident throughout his life, as he faced challenges head-on and never backed down from a fight. His resilience and determination were an inspiration to those around him, and his strength in the face of adversity will be remembered as a testament to his character. Manuel's bravery extended beyond his personal life, as he was always willing to stand up for what he believed in and defend those who needed his help. As we mourn the loss of Manuel Rene Trejo Jr., we also celebrate the life he lived and the countless memories he leaves behind. His laughter, love, and courage will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will be carried forward by the family and friends who loved him dearly. The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Treviño Funeral Home. Rite of Committal and Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
