Marco Antonio "Toño" Flores

Marco Antonio “Toño” Flores, age 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 7th, 2024, after a long courageous battle with cancer. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Jose and Emelia Flores.

He is survived by his wife, Olga Flores; sons, Marco Antonio Flores Jr. (Alyssa) and Luis Flores (Lacey); his seven grandchildren, Avery, Tanner, Tucker, Marco III “Trey”, Rylee, Meyer, & Rhett, that were the light of his life; and numerous sisters and brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in- law, nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends that are going to miss him dearly.

Marco was born on March 2, 1962, to Jose and Emilia Flores in Padilla Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was a longtime member of the Uniòn Ganadera Local and enjoyed spending his days at the El Panal Ranch working his cattle. He then later moved to the United States, where he spent most of his time in Dallas Texas and worked many years for the City of Dallas. He then met and married his wife Olga of 37 years. They started a family of their own and years later decided to settle down in Corpus Christi, Texas to be closer to the family.

Marco loved to be outside working on things, keeping up with his yard, and always felt there was something that could be fixed. He was known to all that knew him as the best handy man that never turned down the chance to help when needed. You could often find him gathered around a fire in his backyard, sitting on the front porch enjoying a cup of coffee, watching a soccer game in his recliner, and his favorite past time of all, being surrounded by his grandchildren.

Honoring Marco as pallbearers will be Marco Antonio Flores Jr., Luis Flores, Javier Flores, Martin Luis, Isidro Aguilar & Mario Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers include, Carmen Flores, Ilse Flores, and Melissa Flores.

Marco’s family will receive condolences on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home at 9:30 AM followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Memory Gardens.
