Marcos Lopez

Marcos Lopez was born on October 13, 1946 in Harlingen, TX and passed away August 17, 2021 in Corpus Christi, TX. He is the son of the late Victoria Lopez.

Marcos graduated from Edinburg High School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and did a Tour of Duty in The Vietnam War. He came home and worked with Dallas Power Light Company for several years. He then left in 1980 and worked with Central Power Light and Company in Corpus Christi, TX for over 20 years and retired. He lived out his remaining years in Victoria and Corpus Christi, TX. He was a proud Veteran that enjoyed helping the Catholic War Veterans of Victoria, TX with funeral services for Veteran’s funerals. He was also a member of America’s Last Patrol Ranch in Benavides, TX and enjoyed hunting, spending time with family, and traveling. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. ZAZ!

Marcos Lopez is survived by Adelita Hernandez; sons, Marcos Lopez Jr. and his wife Tammie Lopez, Alex Lopez and his wife Soraida Lopez, and Arturo Lopez and his wife Linda Lopez, his grandchildren, Cassandra Nicole (Lopez) Morin, Marcos Lopez, Analysa Lopez, Rebecca Bernal, Alexandria Brooke Lopez, Troy Lopez, and Alexia Renee Lopez, and his great grandchildren, Malachi Aiden Dabbs, Olivia Rose Lopez, and Richard Morin. His siblings are and were the late David Lopez Sr., Elias Lopez Sr., Olivia (Lopez) Lugo, Aurora (Golie Lopez) Gonzalez, Margaret (Lopez) Palomo, Mateo Lopez, and Sixto Rodriguez.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
