Maria Guadalupe Altamirano

Maria Guadalupe Altamirano, born December 4, 1941 to Frances Hernandez in Alice, Texas passed away on May 3, 2018 at the age of 76. Maria was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of the Guadalupañas. She often volunteered and was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever she was needed.

Maria is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Hernandez; maternal grandmother, Teofila R. Flores; and brother, Juan Diego Altamirano.

Survivors left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Esperanza Salinas (Gonzalo, Jr.) and Maria D. Chapa (Lauro); three sons, Manuel Garcia, Martin Ramirez (Bea), and Ramon N. Altamirano.

Maria is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at New Collins Cemetery.
