Maria Guadalupe Castro

Maria Guadalupe Castro of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 61. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 12, 1960 to Manuel and Victoria Castro.

Maria was a very strong, independent, and prideful woman. Her family says she was as stubborn as a mule but was very caring and loving to all who would come her way. She loved all genres of movies including western, action, drama, and comedy. Constantly on the go, here and there to any adventure on the bus, Maria could go on, no matter what, when, where, or why, nor time she would love to have fun in everything she did. She enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the sky and the feeling of winter. Maria loved imagining the funniest and silliest things to make others laugh. A simple soda and some fried chicken would be enough for her to put on a smile and start her day. She had a very secretive and calculating mind, always thinking one step ahead if needed or knowing of events to happen. Maria was always there for her family and friends. She was a mom at heart. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Victoria Castro; her sister, Maria Garcia; and her brothers, Manuel Castro, Frank Castro, and Joe Castro.

Maria leaves her loving memories to her beloved husband, Antonio Jasso; sons, Anthony Antonio Jasso Jr. and Jonathan James Jasso; sisters, Rosa Sizemore, Isabel Martinez, Victoria Garcia, and Aurora Valdez; and brothers, Victor Castro, Robert Castro, and Jessie Castro.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Memorial Rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Services to conclude that same evening.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending services at this facility.
