Professionally, Maria was known for her compassionate spirit and her commitment to service. She spent approximately eight years as a valued employee at Zale's, where her love for jewelry was more than just a job, it was a passion. Maria's caring nature found another outlet in her work as a paraprofessional at West Oso Kennedy Elementary School, where she provided support and love to handicapped children. Her patience and kindness made a lasting impact on the students and staff alike. Maria's love extended beyond her work and family to her cherished pets. She shared her home and heart with her two dogs, Chula and Charlie, and her cat, Guerra. They were not just pets but members of her family, providing companionship and unconditional love.
