Maria Consuelo "Connie" Luera

Maria Consuelo “Connie” Luera passed away January 16, 2017 at the age of 73. She was born in Alice, Texas to Ernesto and Petra Salinas. Maria was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto and Petra Salinas; son, Jacob Luera; numerous siblings. Maria is survived by her husband, Israel Luera, Sr.; sons, Israel (Dawn) Luera, Jr., Carlos (Kristy) Luera; daughter-in-law, Audrey Luera; grandchildren, Lorena Luera, Anthony Luera, Izabella Luera, Jonathan Luera, Israel Luera, III, Dominic Luera, and Adelina Luera; two sisters and three brothers; numerous nephews and nieces. The family will be receiving friends and family from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Burial will take place at 9am on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
