Maria G. Salinas

Maria G. Salinas, age 96, passed away on December 17, 2015. Maria was a devoted Catholic and served in the early years at Mathis Catholic Church. She belonged to the Choir Funeral Guadalupana's. In her later years she suffered from Alzheimer's, and during her final months was a resident at Palms Nursing Home. She was dearly loved by all her family and will be missed. She is preceded in death by her of husband of 40 years, Manuel Salinas; sons, Manuel, Jr., Eduardo, Jose Luis; granddaughter, Mira Flores. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Maria (Seferino) Hernandez, Guadalupe Salinas; sons, Felix (Maria) Salinas, Ernest (Rachel) Salinas; 19 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and 19 great great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 3 pm to 9 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Burial will follow at Orange Grove Cemetery.
