Obituary

Maria Idalia “Dollie” Trevino Heuston, age 76, passed on peacefully with family by her side on December 21, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on January 9, 1949, in Alice, Texas to Ercilia G. and Ramiro R. Trevino.

Dollie’s life was a vibrant journey filled with resilience and determination. She raised a large family from a young age while working across diverse professions, including beautician, property manager, defensive driving instructor, accountant, and Uber driver. No matter the role, she embraced each chapter of her life with strength and spirit.

Her generosity extended beyond her home as she volunteered at Spohn Hospital. In earlier years, she found joy in bowling and deer hunting with her husband Bill. The two also shared many adventures riding together on his Harley. Dollie loved country western music, traveling, and the occasional thrill of gambling—but above all else, she cherished time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Heuston; her parents; and her brother, Carlos Trevino.

Dollie is lovingly remembered by her five children: sons Luis Trevino of Grant, Alabama; Elddy Trevino (Liz) of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Michael Garza of Amarillo, Texas; daughters Sandra Garza-Rocha (Fred) of Portland, Texas and Bianca Tanguma of Corpus Christi. She also leaves behind her sister, Rosie Ruiz (Manuel, Jr.) of Robstown, Texas; nephews Manuel III, Marc, and Mathew Ruiz; 28 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara Street. Interment will follow on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
