Maria Luisa Valdez

Maria Luisa Valdez of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 85.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Reynald Garza Valdez, and her parents, Ramiro and Carolina Martinez.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was truly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Left behind to cherish Maria’s memories are her four daughters, Sonia (Mark) Kauzlarich, Gabriela (Danny) Dodd, Mary Jane (Boni) Garza, and Susan (Marty) Sedlacek; sisters, Ofelia Leo, Martha Martinez, and Miralda Martinez; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
