Maria Yolanda Ruiz

Maria Yolanda Ruiz passed away on August 10, 2021 at the age of 71.  She was a very loving, caring, and joyful person who was always smiling.  She loved dancing and red roses. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Isabel (Jay) Sanchez and Patty Shedrick; husband, Leonardo Ruiz; parents, Ricardo and Carmen Gutierrez; brother, Mike Gutierrez; and sister-in-law, Helen Gutierrez.

Maria is survived by her son, David Ruiz; grandchildren, Johnathan Ruiz, Alex Ruiz, Mariah Ruiz, Destiny Ruiz, Jacob Uballe, and Gabriel Gonzales; three great-grandchildren, Melody Ruiz, Aidyn Ruiz, and Amelia Ruiz; brothers, Rudy (Josie) Gutierrez and Ruben Gutierrez; companion, Roland Cruz; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM to St. Theresa Catholic Church to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.  Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
