Martin Canales

Martin Canales, age 87, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012. He was a resident of Corpus Christi where he lived for the past twenty years. Martin is preceded in death by his sister, Carolina Ramos. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eglantina Canales; son Arnoldo Canales; sisters: Ballester Salinas (Roel Salinas, deceased), Minerva Pena (Jose Maria), and Marbella Knight; brothers: Ismael Canales (Silvia), Francisco Canales (Flor), and Manuel Canales (Martha); numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends and relatives from McAllen, Mission, Roma, Houston, and Bakersfield, California. Martin Canales will be dearly missed. The family will be receiving friends at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port on Monday, February 20, 2012, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Rites of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at 10:00a.m.; burial to follow at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
