Martin "Marty" Sosa

Martin Sosa passed away on June 14, 2019 at the age of 50. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend. Martin enjoyed bowling, dancing, singing, and spending time with family. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams including the Astros, Longhorns, Spurs, and Cowboys. He loved everyone in his life and was loved by all. Martin will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Sosa, Jr.; grandparents, Chavelo R. and Manuela M. Sanchez; and grandma, Rosa O. Sosa.

Among those left to cherish Martin’s memory are his mother, Josie Sosa; sister, Isabel (Robert, Jr.) Arranaga; nephews, Bobby, Aaron, Aidan, and Adrian Arranaga; aunts, Mary Sanchez and Rosalinda (Tim) Overton; uncles, Juan R. Sanchez and Ismael Sanchez, Sr.; cousins; Andrea (James) Zorbas, Tanya (Wil) Hernandez, and Ismael (Krysta) Sanchez, Jr.; and extended family.

The family will receive condolences from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 10 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to Rose Hill Memorial Park.
