Marty Gaona, beloved wife, family member, and friend, passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on November 12, 1963, Marty touched the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
Cherished by her family, Marty is survived by her devoted spouse, Maria (Mary) Garcia, who stood steadfastly by her side throughout their many years together. Marty’s presence will also be deeply missed by her nephew, Mark Ramos, his wife, Jenna, and their children, Carter, Teagen, and Jace; her nephew, Mike Ramos; cousin, Mary E. Garcia (Cris); cousin, Servando Eureste (Pat); and sister-in-law, Norma G. Perez (Rolando). Joining them in remembrance are her brothers-in-law, Balde Garcia (Nilda) and Jose A. Garcia (Esmie). Marty will also be lovingly remembered by several other cousins and extended family members.
Marty’s family circle extends to those who have gone before her, and she is reunited in peace with her beloved mother, Elvira Eureste; her sister, Janie Ramos; her aunt, Carolina Eureste; her cousin, Gloria Mungia; and her grandparents, Tomas Sr. and Juanita Eureste.
Throughout her life, Marty was known for her enthusiasm and zest, especially during football season. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan and an avid admirer of Tony Romo, she found immense joy in cheering on her favorite team and sharing that excitement with those around her. Whether she was celebrating a touchdown or gathering loved ones for a game, Marty’s love for life, football, and the camaraderie it inspired shone brightly.
Family gatherings, laughter-filled moments, and the bonds she nurtured remain as lasting memories and a testament to her loving character. Marty’s gentle spirit, loyal friendship, and deep devotion to her family made her a pillar in the lives of those lucky enough to know her. Her influence will live on in the stories shared, the traditions continued, and the hearts she touched.
Marty Gaona will be fondly remembered and profoundly missed. Her legacy of love, joy, and dedication endures in the lives of her family and friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park where Marty will be laid to rest.
