Mary Lou Guerra

Mary Lou Guerra, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024, in her hometown of Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 75. Born on July 24, 1948, to Pablo Perez and Manuela Cuellar Perez, Mary Lou's life was a testament to the power of gentle strength and unwavering care for those she held dear. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eloy Guerra Sr.; parents, Pablo Perez and Manuela Cuellar Perez; brothers, Raul Meza, Guadalupe Meza, Adam Meza, Ignacio Meza Sr., and Edward Perez; and sister, Maria Cynthia Deleon.

She is survived by her children, Mimi Saenz, Molly Casarez, Melinda Guerra, Michele Guerra, Eloy Guerra Jr. (Thelma), Ernest Guerra (Amy), and Pablo Guerra (Tracye); siblings, Angelita Barron, Paul Perez, and Abel Perez (Linda); and 18 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Mary’s family will receive condolences on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Treviño Funeral Home followed by Rite of Committal and Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
