Mauricio Ricardo Hinojosa

Mauricio Hinojosa Sr., age 56, was called home on Monday, April 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Mauricio was born in Alice, TX on October 28, 1960 to his parents, Juan C. Hinojosa and Lazara A. Rodriguez. He was a devoted husband married to his beloved late wife, Anna. Maurico was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was known as a long time cook for Chentes Restaurant, as well as other local restaurants. Mauricio was a big fan of wrestling, softball and his biggest joy was being with his grandchildren.

Mauricio is proceeded in death by his parents, Juan C. Hinojosa, Raul and Lazara Rodriguez; wife, Anna Hinojosa, and sister Mickey Garcia.

He is survived by his brothers, Juan (Consuelo) Hinojosa, Martin (Rose) Hinojosa, Telesforo (Diana) Hinojosa, Felix (Margarita) Hinojosa, Joe (Dee) Hinojosa, Raul Rodriguez Jr., Hector Rodriguez; sisters, Lucy (Arnold) Benavides, Sandra Martinez; sons, Mauricio Hinojosa Jr. (Jessica), Ricardo (Selma) Hinojosa, Marcos (Maria) Hinojosa; daughter, Andrea Hinojosa (Alex Rubio); grandchildren, Leena Hinojosa, Ricardo Hinojosa Jr., Jaidene Melo, Troy Ramirez, Alexavier Ramirez, Devin Melo, Alejandro Rubio, Mauricio Hinojosa lll, Ayleen Rubio, Lillyth Hinojosa, Elizabeth Young, Isabela Young, Joshua Young; great grandchild, Jesiah L. Bueno and numerous nieces and nephews

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 1, 2017, from 5-9 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St. ; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. Rites of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at St Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Gonzalez-Anguiano Family Cemetery located at 935 FM 1554 Alice, Tx.
