Maximo M. Reyna

Maximo “Welo” Reyna Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother, passed away on June 30, 2018, at the age of 73. He was born on March 2, 1945 in Corpus Christi, TX to Maximino and Apolonia Reyna. He was employed with Braselton Homes for over 25 years as a self-contractor and brick layer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximino and Apolonia Reyna; brother, Oscar Reyna; and two sisters, Juanita Mendez and Rosalinda Downer. Maximo is survived by wife of 45 years, Leticia (Letie) Reyna; son, Chris (Sandy) Villarreal; four daughters, Candy Reyna (Domingo Ybarra), Priscilla Villarreal (John-David Alvarez), Eudelia V. Rodriguez, and Rhonda Garcia; one brother, Samuel (Lola) Reyna; five sisters, Leticia Reyna (Kate Adams), Maria Eva (Stan) Ybarra, Gloria S Reyna (Jennifer Goericke), Martha Laura (Robert) Yzaguirre, and Belinda Reyna (Alfred Newman Jr.); five grandchildren, Lee Andrew Flores (Jo Limon), Jackie Villarreal, Donovin Johnson, Benjamin Rodriguez, and Avery Hill; three great-grandchildren; Lee Andrew Flores Jr., Ocean Flores, and Isaac Flores; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Lee Andrew Flores, Rene Saldana, Juan Miranda, Domingo Ybarra, Joe Desroslers, Rocky Sanchez, Pedro Hernandez III, and John David Alvarez. The family will receive condolences on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port; with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Treviño Funeral Home on Friday, July 6, 2018. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
