Michelle Vasquez of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the age 51. Michelle was born on July 6, 1970 to Felix Vasquez, Jr and Yolanda Soliz Vasquez.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rodolfo and Barbarita Soliz; paternal grandparents, Felix and Elia Vasquez; and sister; Melissa Vasquez.
Left to cherish precious and beautiful memories of our sweet and loving Michelle are her parents, Felix and Yolanda Vasquez, Jr; brothers, Felix (Olga) Vasquez, III and Joel (Ana) Vasquez; sisters, Yvette (Cipriano) Bazan and Priscilla (Michael) San Miguel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
One of the many things that Michelle loved to do was to play Loteria with the family and play cards with her grandmother. Michelle’s love for dancing started when she was in elementary when she was a cheerleader for the Robert Wilson Eagles. That love for cheer and dancing forged the Dancing Queen that we all loved. Her innocent love for dancing allowed her to dance as if no one was watching and enjoy life; which she did every single day. Her smile and laughter was infectious and would brighten the room. When Michael Jackson’s Thriller would play she would be the 1st on the dance floor showing off her dance moves. Everyone enjoyed watching her move to the beat with a bit of jealousy on how she was able to get so much joy from dancing to a song.
Michelle also enjoyed making hamburgers. She first learned to make burgers and then her culinary artistry took off. She would grab a handful of ground beef and form the perfect hamburger patty. She would tinker with different seasoning and after several cooking sessions, she found her perfect combination; which was better than any fast food restaurant because you knew that it was delicious and, more importantly, it was made with love.
Michelle also loved to color. She enjoyed spending the day coloring different pages in her coloring book. She also enjoyed showing them off, which in many instances, were better than Picasso.
Michelle will be greatly missed. Her innocent and infectious smile will be greatly missed. Her culinary skills will be greatly missed. Her awesome dancing skills will be greatly missed. Although she will be greatly missed, she was welcomed with open arms into the Kingdom of God. She is now with our Creator dancing to the music of Michael Jackson and cooking hamburgers and playing Loteria with her loving family members who were awaiting her. May you rest in Eternal Peace.
