Modesta G. Salazar

Modesta Salazar, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born on May 4,1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Teodulo and Olivia Garcia. She is now in the Grace of Our Father forever in peace and joy.

Modesta leaves behind a brightful legacy of four daughters: Edna Gonzalez (Rudy) and her children, Rudy Gonzalez (Kimberly) and Jeffery Gonzalez (Alyse); Brenda Guerrero (Richard) and her children, Richard Guerrero, Ramsey Guerrero, and Kristen Guerrero; Christina Guzman and her children, Michael Almaguer, Briana Almaguer, Brandon Salazar, Lindsey Salazar, Ruben Salazar, Jr., and Christian Figueroa; and Denise Flores (Rogelio) and her children, Sarah Guzman, Robert Hatheway, Miranda Fernandez (Adan who is with Our Father in forever peace and joy beside Modesta), Samantha Herrera, and Jose Herrera (Pricilla). Upon her arrival in Heaven, she was warmly welcomed by her cherished spouse, Francisco Salazar. Her journey to the afterlife was also preceded by the passing of her parents and her siblings. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her 16 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love and laughter.

Modesta was the rock to her family’s foundation. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fishing. She loved her family and cherished the time that she got to spend time with them. She enjoyed eating sushi, seafood, and Chinese food. Modesta will be remembered as a passionate soul, whose love has no bonds.

As we say our goodbyes to Modesta, we will always cherish the moments we had with her. This extraordinary mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother now rests in the hand of Our Father.
