Moses Martin Serna, Sr.

Moses Serna, Sr., born September 4, 1933 to Simon And Maria Serna, passed away on March 18, 2018 at the age of 84. Moses was a devoted family man and loved spending time with them. He served his country by enlisting in the Air Force from April 3, 1953 to March 23, 1957. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Moses is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Maria Serna.

Survivors left to cherish his memories are his loving wife; Consuelo “Chelo” R. Serna; daughter; Cynthia “Cindy” Serna; sons; Simon Serna and Moses Serna, Jr. (Pearl); and children raised as his own; Homero Vela III (Sierra), Valeria Manrique, Angelica “Angie” Silva, and Alonzo Herrera.

Moses is also survived by nine wonderful grandchildren,14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 5 to 9 PM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. Funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Roberson Collins Cemetery.
