Napoleon Ramon Martinez, Jr.

Napoleon R. Martinez, Jr., born on November 28, 1936 in Realitos, TX, passed away on July 24, 2019 at the age of 82. He was married to his wife, Cecilia Castillo Martinez, for 58 years and was employed by Krogers here in Alice and Houston. Napoleon was a hardworking man who always provided for his loved ones. He enjoyed working at his ranch, fishing, golfing, and barbecuing. He was loved by everyone who knew him and will be dearly missed.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Napoleon and Maria R. Martinez, Sr.; in-laws, Victor and Jesusa Castillo; and sisters, Elma M. Gonzalez and Connie Garza.

Among those left to cherish Napoleon’s memory are his loving wife, Cecilia C. Martinez ; son, Noel Ramon Martinez; daughters, Nora Linda Martinez, Nelda Lisa Martinez-Rodriquez (Lamar); sisters, Gume Andrade and Albesa Smithwick; one grandchild, Needra Deleon; one great-grandchild, Zaiden Lee Chapa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers are, Andres Gonzalez, Victor Treviño, Adan Cavazos, Rey Escamilla, Jr., Ronnie Rivas, and Victor Castillo, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are, Amado Garcia, Eligio Cueva, Rey Rivas, Adan Garcia, Pete Espinoza, and Joe Pastrano.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, July 28, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home Monday, July 29, 2019, at 3:15 PM to Our Lady of Gudalupe Catholic Church where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3:30 PM. Rite of committal and interment will follow at Alice Cemetery.
