Natalia Lopez Trejo passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family and went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2025, at the age of 90. She was born on July 27, 1934, in Banquete, Texas, to Santos and Manuela Lopez. Natalia's life was one of devotion to her family, and community.

Natalia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Ignacio Zaragosa Trejo; her parents, Santos and Manuela Lopez; her sons, Ignacio Z. Trejo, Jr., and Homero L. Trejo; her granddaughter, Malarie Martinez; her great-granddaughter, Candice Rosas, as well as her brother Domingo Lopez, Sr. and her sisters, Augustina Garcia and Santos Navejar. Natalia's memories will be cherished by her surviving family. Her children, Roland Trejo, Diana (Frank) Garza, Yolanda (Tanis) Rosas, Viola (Dennis) Fonseca, Roel Trejo, Evangelina (Lupe) Sanchez, Ruben Trejo, and Jaime Martinez, Sr., whom she considered a son; her sister Maria Luisa Hernandez; her 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, her host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends, who will forever remember the love and lessons she imparted. Natalia's home was her sanctuary, a place of immaculate cleanliness and order. She took pride in her housekeeping, creating a space that reflected her dedication and respect for her family. Known for her loving, respectful, honest, hardworking, and faithful character, she consistently placed the needs of others above her own. She found pleasure and enjoyment in the simple things of life, like watching her favorite soap operas and novelas, engaging in a lively game of Chalupa, or concentrating on a challenging crossword puzzle. She was an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs and held a special admiration for her favorite golfer, Tiger Woods. Natalia's culinary skills were legendary within her family, with her charro beans and enchiladas being unrivaled delights at family gatherings. She believed in the power of family unity and fervently instilled this value within her family. A woman of profound faith, Natalia trusted in God's Holy Will, living her beliefs through acts of kindness and prayer. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort to her and to those around her, guiding her through life's challenges and joys. As we bid Natalia farewell, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a spirit that will continue to inspire and guide us from above. Natalia's memory will be a beacon of light for all who were blessed to have known her.

Natalia’s family will receive condolences on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Trevino Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart from the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, for Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Alice, Texas. Her Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Roberson Collins Memorial Cemetery.

Honoring Natalia as pallbearers are Monica A. Fuentes, Brenda L. Alvarez, Sabrina M. Vanderbilt, Stephanie T. Sobjack, Samantha M. Trejo, and Ashley A. Trejo.
