Nicolas Chavez

Nicolas Chavez, a 20-year-old Corpus Christi native, passed away Friday, July 1st, 2022 in Jacksonville, FL.

Nicolas was born to Elizabeth Prater and Nicolas Chavez Sr. on December 12th, 2001 in Corpus Christi, TX. He is preceded in death by his father, Nicolas Chavez Sr; his grandfather, Gerald Don Prater; his uncle, Jessie Don Prater; and his aunt, Mary Faragoza.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Prater (40); his grandmother, Gloria Prater; his uncle, Christian Prater; his aunt, Holly Prater; his uncle, Donny Martinez; his sister, Chelsea Rodriguez; his brother, Benjamin Rodriguez; Justin and friends; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, July 15, 2022, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 1:00 PM.  A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 2:00 PM for Rite of Committal and Interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be observed while attending services.
