Nina Denes Perry

Nina Perry, born to Rosemary and Timothy Perry of Corpus Christi, Texas, took her first breath on July 2, 1969.  After a hard fought battle with heart failure, she gained her wings on January 23, 2022.

Nina was a force to be reckoned with from the get go; attending school at Wynn Seale Middle School and Roy Miller High School, “Once a Buc Always A Buc!” She pursued a medical career as a CNA where she devoted most of her time and energy caring for others. Nina was passionate about her family and enjoyed writing poems. She lived life by her own merits touching more people than you could count. Nina was the driving force for her family, an irreplaceable friend to many, and a spark in this often difficult world. Her loss is truly and deeply felt.

Nina was preceded in death by her father, Timothy James Perry Sr.; maternal grandparents, Esse Lee Mayberry and Tony Davis; paternal grandparents, Flourastine and Milton Perry; aunts Lavern Mason and Dorothy Terry; and uncles, Calvin "Horse Nose" and Irvin "Boogie" Perry, all welcoming her with open arms and love.

Left behind to cherish Nina’s memories are her mother, Rosemary Perry; two daughters, Demetrius and SeQuoia Perry; sister, Marion Perry; two brothers, Charles Perry and Timothy Perry Junior; her only grandchild, Ryhan Kensley Nunn; three aunts; two uncles; eight nephews; one niece; one great-niece; and a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a Chapel Service to begin at 2:00 PM. Services will conclude in the chapel.
