Noemi L. Sustaita

Noemi L. Sustaita, 67, of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away on June 27, 2024 after her battle with cancer. Noemi was born on November 4,1956 to Natividad Luna and Joaquina Morales in Lockney, Tx. Noemi graduated from Sterling High School in 1975.

In 1975, Noemi married Abelardo Ramirez Sustaita and had 3 children, Abelardo Sustaita Jr, Rebecca J. Stanford, and Alejandro Noe Sustaita; 5 grandchildren, Michael Hernandez, Matthew Sustaita, Alexis Hernandez, Lilianne Sustaita, and Maximiliano Sustaita and 2 great grandchildren, Zephaniah Hernandez and Clementine Hernandez.

Noemi spent her life in the food industry as a waitress, cook, and manager. Her true devotion was to her family and friends. Her greatest passion was to the sports and activities that her children and grandchildren participated in. Noemi was her family’s # 1 fan who attended as many games as she could and always volunteered to help out when there was a need. She has participated in numerous fundraisers in order to raise money for family and friends during their hardships. She loved to dance, go fishing with her family and putting her creative mind to work with arts and crafts.

Noemi was predeceased by her parents Joaquina Morales and Natividad Luna; her siblings Nicolasa Mireles, Amador Rocha, Hector Rocha, Ernesto Rocha, Hilda Rocha, Eleana Rocha, Noe Luna. She is survived by her sister Nelda Rojas and her brothers Rosario Rocha Jr and Juan Rocha.

Noemi’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave.; with a Holy Rosary and Liturgy of the Word to be recited at 7:00 PM.
