Ofelia Caram Evans

Ofelia Caram Evans, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 68. Born on March 16, 1956, in the Philippines, Ofelia's life was a testament to the enduring strength and warmth of the human spirit. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted son, Ryan Caram, and his wife, Lizel; her adored grandchildren, who were the light of her life; and her caring sisters, Delia Monroe, Lita Bakken, and Tita Caram. Ofelia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rufino Caram and Concordia Gallardo, and her three brothers, whose memories she held close to her heart. Ofelia's zest for life was evident in her love for playing pool, a hobby that brought her much happiness and camaraderie. She was a masterful strategist at the pool table, a reflection of her wise and thoughtful approach to life's challenges. Those who had the privilege of knowing Ofelia will forever remember her as the epitome of love and kindness. Her unwavering support and selfless nature were the cornerstones of the strong family bonds she nurtured throughout her life.

Ofelia’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave., from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM; with a Holy Rosary and Liturgy of the Word to begin at 6:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
