Patricia Rivera

Patricia "Peppers" Rivera, a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2023, at the age of 56. Born on March 14, 1967, Patricia was known for her infectious laugh, warm heart, and free spirit.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Juan R. Rivera; two brothers, Juan Rivera Jr and David Rivera; maternal grandparents, Raul C. Flores and Cecilia G. Saenz; and paternal grandparents, Acension and Olivia Rivera.

Left to cherish Patricia’s memory are her mother, Odilia F. Rivera; two sisters, Missy (Adolfo Martinez Jr) Rivera and Rachel (Juan Mendez Jr) Rivera; nephew raised like a son, Mario (Andrea) Torres Jr; grandpa, Thomas Saenz Jr.; two uncles, Raul Flores Jr and Thomas (Blenda) Saenz III; and her beloved pets, cat, Alfred and dog, Cookie.

Patricia was a funny, loving, and friendly person who had the ability to light up any room she entered. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a joke or a witty comment. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel at ease and welcome.

Patricia cherished her time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She took great pride in being their aunt and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them, sharing her love of music and laughter. Patricia's love for her family extended to her pets, Alfred and Cookie, whom she treated as if they were her own children.

A lover of music, Patricia could often be found listening to her favorite tunes on C101, or cruising in the car with the windows down and the music turned up. She was a free spirit who embraced life and all its adventures. Her zest for life and her kind heart made her a treasured friend to many.

Patricia's passing leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her laughter, love, and warmth will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the memories shared by her friends and family.

As we say goodbye to Patricia "Peppers" Rivera, we celebrate her life and the joy she brought to all those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her laughter continue to echo in our hearts, and may her love and kindness be a guiding light for us all.

Patricia’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., Alice Texas; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 12:00 PM and Liturgy of the Word to begin at 12:30 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 1:00 PM for Rite of Committal and Interment at New Collins Cemetery.

Honoring Patricia as pallbearers will be Mario Torres Jr, Samuel Salas Jr, Sean Salas, Johnathon Rivera, David Rivera Jr, and Juan Rivera III. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Rivera, John Rivera, Ernesto E. Flores IV, Oren Brody Alvarez, and Andres Jiminian Jr.
