Patricio Enrique Salinas Sr

Patricio Enrique “Henry” Salinas, Sr., 56, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2025. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on September 25, 1969, to the late Jose E. Salinas, Sr. and Beatriz A. Salinas.

He is survived by Melinda Blanco, who shared her life with him, and by his wife, Cindy (separated).

Henry leaves behind a family that spans many relationships and seasons of his life. He is survived by his children, Darian (Jacob) Salinas, Isaac Salinas, Alyssa (Jaziel, Amira) Salinas, Patrick Salinas, Jr., Robert (Marc) Salinas-Robertson, Michael Salinas, Samantha Vasquez, Jessica Salinas, and Julian (Landa) Salinas, each of whom carries forward a part of his life and legacy.

He is also survived by his siblings, Jose “Joe” Salinas, Jr., Elisa Salinas, Esmeralda “Esmo” (Gabriel) Gonzalez, Erasmo “Eddie” (Linda) Salinas, Elma (Daniel) Garcia, Elva (Steve) Salinas-Rivera, Emilia “Mil” (Rob) Phillips, Edna (Peter) Tamez, and Ernesto “Ernie” (Veronica) Salinas; along with 17 grandchildren, 23 nieces and nephews, and extended family members and loved ones who will remember him in their own meaningful ways.

Although he faced challenges and sometimes made choices that were difficult, those who knew him can still point to moments filled with kindness and genuine connection. His life encourages us to see others with grace and to learn from every chapter, both the hopeful ones and the hard ones.

Henry will be remembered for the many things that brought color to his days. He loved the sounds and style of 80s music, the charm of 80s films, and the grit of old westerns. Halloween horror movies were a favorite, and Halloween itself was the holiday he loved most. He enjoyed MASH and Metallica and rarely missed a chance to root for HIS San Francisco 49ers. He was loving, caring, and grumpy in his own unforgettable way, often calling himself “Mr. Asshole” with a laugh. Henry found joy in barbecuing, spending time with friends at the carwash, and relaxing with a Dr. Pepper, Bud Light, or a cold glass of orange juice. He knew nearly every line from The Last Boy Scout, and he firmly believed that Die Hard counted as a Christmas movie.

The family would like to thank everyone who prayed for him, those who came alongside the family as they sat vigil, encouraged one another, and the many individuals who cared for him while he was in the hospital. This is not “goodbye,” it is “see ya later.”

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St @ Port Ave; followed by recitation of the Holy Rosary and Liturgy of the Word at 1:00 PM. Services will conclude that afternoon.

The family extends their thoughts and prayers to all who share a connection to Henry.
