Paulita Garcia Ledesma

Wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, friend.

Paulita Garcia Ledesma went to her heavenly home on January 5th, 2025. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her throughout her life. She was a good, kind, unselfish soul who cared deeply for others. There are many stories of her kindness, generosity and faith in God. Each year she would invite friends and family to her home to celebrate "Dia de Los Reyes". The day the wise men came to visit Jesus. She was known as the "miracle lady" when she prayed over one of the neighbor's sons who was sick and he got healed. The Light of Jesus shined bright in her life. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served him with all of her heart, sharing the plan of salvation to those around her. Her greatest desire was that her loved ones would trust in Jesus and love and serve him as much as she did.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Israel V. Ledesma Sr.; son, Encarnacion Ledesma; granddaughter, Anabella Peralta; sisters, Elvia Gutierrez, Violanda DeLeon, Olga Ybarra; and brother, Pedro Garcia.

She is survived by her children, Aida Turner, Rose Maldonado, Criselda Schlaegel (Oliver), Sandra Ledesma (Henry), Alma Vogel (Marlin), Nora Rodela, Israel Ledesma, Jr. (Annette); along with 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Paulita’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port Ave, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM; with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, for Rite of Committal and Interment at Rose Hill Memorial Park at 10:00 AM.

Serving as pallbearers are Jay Maldonado, Jeronimo Rodela, Kelley Turner, Micah Ledesma, Felix Guerrero, and Artie Avila. Honorary pallbearers are Israel Ledesma, Jr. and Casey Aviles.
