Pete Pompa, Jr.

Pete Pompa, Jr. passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, while recovering from surgery at Doctor’s Regional Medical Center.

Pete was the son of the late Pete Pompa, Sr. and Palmira Pompa and a graduate of Miller High School. He worked many jobs throughout his life; but mostly worked as a Steel Worker for ASARCO for over 18 years. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan. Pete was a great sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports in high school and college. After caring for the love of his life Bertha, he enjoyed fishing and gambling with one of his best buddies.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Pompa; daughter, Cynthia Pompa Narvaez; parents; siblings, Joe Pompa and Sylvia Pompa Riggins.

Among those left to cherish his memory are his children, Pete (Michelle) Pompa III, Michael Pompa, and Veronica (Del) Pompa; six grandchildren, two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nephews, nieces, and extended family.

A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, April 26, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude that evening.
