Phillip Smith Casanova
Phillip Smith Casanova passed away on September 18, 2018 at the age of 68. After serving two tours in Vietnam he worked hard as an auto body repair man, living a simple life. Because of the quality of work he did he was known to many as Corvette Wizard. He had a passion for playing guitar, enjoying Classic Rock and found peace in Classical and Opera music. As a hobby he enjoyed working on boats and anything that has to do with the ocean and nature. He was a generous man and the best friend, father, son, and brother, a person could have; with a smile that would light up the room. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Casanova.
Phillip is survived by his daughters, April Casanova Whitman and Lisa Heaton; mother, Sarah Frances Woolsey; siblings, Richard Casanova, James “Jim” Casanova, Nancy Lawton, Suzan Bird, and Brinda Casanova; grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Interment will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
