Ramon H. Munoz, Jr.

Ramon H. “Pepo” Muñoz, Jr., born October 29, 1932 to Ramon and Lucia V. Muñoz, Sr. in Falfurrias, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 1, 2018. He was married to his beloved wife, Angelica, for 55 years. Ramon loved spending time with his grandchildren, woodworking, and taking care of his yard. Ramon was the proud owner/operator of a Mobil Gas Station for many years. He retired from the Alice Independent School District after 20 years, where he was a part of the stadium maintenance crew.

Ramon is preceded in death by his loving wife, Angelica S. Muñoz; parents, Ramon and Lucia Muñoz, Sr.; sisters, Ageda Flores, Olga Revilla, and Idalia Rodriguez; brothers, Humberto Muñoz, Alonzo Munoz, and Ernesto Muñoz.

Survivors left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Amanda Peña (Adrian); sons, Ramon Muñoz III (Norma), Rey Munoz (Brenda), and Rene Muñoz; and sister; Lucy Longoria (Robert).

Ramon is also survived by ten wonderful grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.

Serving as Pallbearers are his grandsons: Christopher Muñoz, Dereck Muñoz, Tyler Muñoz, Mason Muñoz, A. Michael Peña, Marco Muñoz, and Hector L. “Bibo” Morin.

The family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Treviño Funeral Home, 120 E. Front St., from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 11:30 AM. Immediately following the rosary, a funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 12:30 PM to St. Joseph Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at New Collins Cemetery.
