Ramona Martinez Zapata

Ramona Martinez Zapata passed away on December 6, 2018 at the age of 86. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; whom was deeply loved by her family and friends. Ramona will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of David Zapata; daughter, Rachel Longoria; son, Israel Rodriguez; parents, Reyes and Juana Martinez.

Ramona is survived by her devoted children, Jose (Sylvia) Rodriguez, Rolando (Rosie) Muniz, and MaryJane (Perry) Looney; sister, Valentina Velasquez; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous treasured nephews, nieces, and extended family.

The family will receive condolences Wednesday, December 12, 2018, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. @ Port; with a holy rosary to begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
