Raul L. Avalos

Raul L. Avalos of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on May 6, 2022, at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cresencio and Dolores Avalos. Raul enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a musician who enjoyed playing the guitar.

Left behind to cherish Raul’s memories are his wife of 60 years, Amalia Avalos; children, Raul Avalos, Jr. (Patricia), Reynaldo Avalos (Rosalinda), Richard Avalos, and Eloisa Cortez (Filberto); grandchildren, Matthew Avalos, Erica Avalos, Fil Cortez, Melanie Avalos, Rey Avalos, Jr., Frederick Cortez, Elissa Cortez, Ryan Avalos, Alison Avalos, Benjamin Avalos, Katherine Avalos, Aaron Avalos, and Annisa Avalos; great-grandchildren, Lilian Avalos, Raiden Avalos, Sage Avalos, and Alina Reyes; one brother, Cresencio Avalos; and extended family.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 PM that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic.
