Raul Garcia Quintanilla

Raul Garcia Quintanilla of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on January 26, 2022. He was born on August 7, 1940 in Kingsville, Texas to Selestino and Elena Quintanilla.

Raul will always be remembered for being a kindhearted and caring man. He never met a stranger and took many of his own family members under his wing. He devoted his life to caring for his brother, Selestino “Tino”, and his mother, Elena. Raul was also known as a jokester and enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Raul is preceded in death by his parents, Selestino and Elena Quintanilla, and his brothers, Martin Enrique, Selestino Quintanilla, Oscar Quintanilla, and Israel Quintanilla.

Left behind to cherish Raul’s memories is his beloved wife, Leonor Z. Quintanilla; his stepchildren including his stepdaughter, Cynthia Vela; several step grandchildren; his brother, Joe (Vilma) Quintanilla; and several nieces and nephews who he treated like his own children.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Liturgy of the Word will take place on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Trevino Funeral Home. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 10:30 AM for Rite of Committal and Interment at 11:00 AM at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
