He was predeceased by his parents Raul and Asenet Sandoval; brother, Benito Sandoval; and wife, Rosalinda Sandoval.

He is survived by daughters, Debbra (Robert) Garcia, Lisa Sandoval, Kristie Sandoval; son, Robert (Veronica) Sandoval; and step-sons, Paul Chapa and Alex De La Garza. Also surviving him are brother and sisters: David (Gloria) Sandoval, Carmen Cantu, Liz (Andy) Anzaldua, and Maggie (J.J.) Flores; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his church family.

Raul was a member of El Divino Salvador Presbyterian Church, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and was retired from the Corpus Christi Army Depot.

Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017, followed by a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017, at 11:30 a.m.; all services will be held at El Divino Salvador Presbyterian Church, 2238 Belton Street, Corpus Christi, TX. Interment will follow the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
