Raul J. Vargas

Raul J. Vargas was called home to be with our Lord on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the age of 89. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. After 30 years, he retired from Corn Products, and continued with the family business, Vargas Upholstery. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Anna Maria Graciela Vargas; parents, Manuel and Adela Vargas; son Raul Vargas, Jr., and grandson Oscar Martinez III. Raul is survived by his sons, Danny (Cynthia) Vargas and Ruben Vargas; daughters, Linda (late Richard) Hollingsworth, Sonia Vargas, Ann (Eli) Mireles, Marie (Ray) Bower, and Meliza Vargas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @ Port, at 11 AM; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Funeral services are under the direction of Bobby Treviño.
