Raul “Cuy” Clark, a beloved father, friend, and community member, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on January 24, 1945, Cuy lived a life full of joy, laughter, and love.
Cuy was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, proudly cheering on his team every season. He spent many years working in the manufacturing industry, making life jackets and ensuring the safety of countless individuals who enjoyed the water.
A man of simple pleasures, Cuy had a deep love for Busch beer, often enjoying a cold one while surrounded by his family and friends. His greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones, whether it was dancing the night away or simply hanging out and telling jokes.
As he grew older, Cuy cherished the time spent with his friends, always ready for a good laugh and great company. His favorite pastime was watching Gunsmoke and WWE wrestling, and he never missed an episode.
Cuy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved him, and his legacy of warmth, humor, and love will continue to inspire.
Cuy is proceeded in death by his parents, Atanacio T. Clark and Margarita Clark; his son, Raul Clark Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Thomas Clark Sr., Pedro M. Clark, Jose M. Clark, Olga Clark Silva, Margie Clark, and Mary Clark Perez; along with his granddaughter, Leslie Ann Ybarra.
Cuy is survived by his brother, Juan Martinez Clark (Norma Jean Hernandez); daughter, Linda Clark Baltazar; multiple grandchildren and great grandkids; nieces and nephews and cousins; and a wide circle of friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
The family invites all who knew Cuy to join in celebrating his life at a memorial service; his family will receive condolences on Friday August 23, 2024, at Treviño Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at Port Ave, from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM. Stories will be shared, and his favorite music will be played.
Raul "Cuy" Clark will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his joyful spirit now dances with the angels, embraced by God's eternal love. To honor his memory, the family asks that you raise a glass of Busch beer in Cuy’s honor and remember the good times shared with a man who brought joy to so many.
