Rebecca Ruiz De Leon

Rebecca Ruiz De Leon, age 97, passed away on January 20, 2013. She was born March 28, 1915 in Laredo, Texas. Music was her life; she loved playing the piano, singing and writing music. The sound of her voice will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raul De Leon Sr.; son, Oscar De Leon; sister, Josefa O'Quinn; brothers, Raul and Isaac Ruiz; and granddaughter Deanne Martinez. Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Riley (Gary) Sechrist, Margaret (Mike) Daw, Yolanda De Leon, Norma Calderon; son, Raul (Pearl) De Leon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home 3006 Niagara at Port on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm; a 7:00 pm service is to be officiated by Bishop Shawn Smith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Corpus Christi First Ward. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 9:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
