Rev. Primus Murphy, Jr.

Rev. Primus Murphy, Jr., age 67, passed away on Friday June 5, 2015. He is preceded in death by both his parents, Primus and Eddie Mae Murphy, and sister, Ivory Mae Johnson. Primus is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ollie Murphy; daughter, Ashley Murphy; sons, Eric (Trivarshia) Murphy, Derek (Selma) Murphy, Johnathan Murphy, Edwin (Jennifer) Murphy, Douglas Murphy; sisters, Vera (Michael) Johnson, De Lois (Dennis) Duhart; brothers, Larry (Diana) Murphy, Alonso Murphy, Bennie Murphy; and 7 grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara at port, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 3 pm to 9 pm, with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. Rites of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 10:30 am at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
