Reynaldo Reyes Valdez

Reynaldo Reyes Valdez passed away on June 25, 2022, at the age of 89. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel S. Valdez; parents, Bernardo and Marcela Valdez; sister, Anna Mendoza; brothers, Bernardo Valdez III and Rudy Valdez; daughters, Mari and Cristina Valdez; and grandson, Antonio Abel Valdez.

Reynaldo proudly served in the US Army. He was a sports fanatic, and his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and the San Antonio Spurs. He loved singing and playing music. He loved spending time with his family.

Left behind to cherish Reynaldo’s memories are his daughters; Angelica Valdez (Jose Roijas), Irma Saavedra, Sylvia Gifford (Bobby), and Rebecca Sosa; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Raul Valdez, Robert Valdez, and Laura; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara @Port Ave; with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 8, 2022, to Holy Family Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Face masks must be worn, and social distancing must be practiced while attending funeral services due to the current pandemic
