Richard Arnold Fernandez

Richard Arnold Fernandez, Sr. passed away on September 21, 2017 at the age of 61 surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother. He was preceded in death by his father, Santos Fernandez, Jr. Richard is survived by his wife, Melba Iris Fernandez; son, Richard Arnold Fernandez, Jr. (Maria), Simon Fernandez (Joanna); daughters, Nicole Marie Fernandez (Robert), Diana Iris Fernandez (Andres); sister, Diana Fernandez; brother, Santos Fernandez, II.; mother, Geneve Fernandez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Richard Arnold Fernandez, III, Simon Fernandez, Robert Gonzales, Andres Martinez, Jacob Tamez, and Christopher Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Garza and Richard Arnold Fernandez, IV. The family will receive condolences on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Trevino Funeral Home, 3006 Niagara St. at Port, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the evening; where a Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral cortege will depart the funeral chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 to Corpus Christi Cathedral where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery.
